Abui Tribe Villages

Abui Tribe, a group of indigenous people in Alor Island. They speak Abui language and live in different villages. One village may have different customs and style of traditional clothing from another. Some wear clothing made from colorful fabric, some wear clothing made from the wood barn. It is an interesting sight of Abui people.

Island Hoping

Maybe not many know that around Alor Island, there are many great spots for diving or snorkeling. The untouched nature and marine life and the crystal clear water, make it a must-go place for its underwater.

Art & Culture

Moko are bronze kettledrums from Alor Island, Indonesia. While they have been found in several different locations in Indonesia, they are most famously associated with the island of Alor, where they have long been prized in ceremonial exchanges.


If you are not into water activities, slow down your pace and just spend time around the island, enjoy the view – the hills and the seas, you will find that it is rewarding, too! Go to the market, see how the local’s way of life, how they do their daily trades in the market, go back with stories.


DAY 1: Arrive in Kupang – Alor Island (L)

From Mali airport, go to Batu Putih Beach for sunset. Check in hotel, rest and free time.

DAY 2: Mali Beach – Sikka Island – Takpala Village – Monbang Village (B, L)

Early morning we will go to Mali Beach for sunrise and then we will have our breakfast on the beach. From there, we will go back to our hotel and get ready to explore the village in Sikka Island, Takpala Village. Enjoy our lunch prepared by the villagers before we head to Monbang Village. Back to hotel and rest. Free time afterward.

DAY 3: Alor Kecil – Pura Island – Ternate Island – Sebanjar Island – Kepa Island (B, L)

Our program today will be all about swimming, snorkeling and island hopping. And yes, we will also watch the sunset, too at one of the islands!

DAY 4: 1000 Moko Museum – Lola Traditional Market – Airport – Kupang (B, L)

After breakfast, we will visit 1000 Moko Museum to learn about the history of Abui Tribe. We will also go to the traditional market to see how the locals trade nowadays.

DAY 5: Sasando Artist – Jakarta (B)

After breakfast, we will visit the Sasando maker, the traditional music instrument maker, in Kupang before heading back to Jakarta.
