Sulawesi is one of the main islands of Indonesia, and the 11th largest island in the world. With four spindly arms spinning outward, Sulawesi’s spidery shape is easily recognizable.

This enormous island has much to offer the visitor from extraordinary unique cultures, to an under-explored mountainous hinterland, and several truly world class diving spots.


South Sulawesi

South Sulawesi is one of Indonesia Provinces that lies on Sulawesi Island. Makassar is the capital of this province that was called as Ujung Pandang. The local inhabitant that stay in South Sulawesi is dominated by Bugis and Makassar people, but Toraja ethnic is the indigenous ethnic people from South Sulawesi.

Taka Bonerate National Park

Stretching south of the main island of Sulawesi into the Flores Sea, the Taka Bonerate National Park in the Selayar Regency is a dominantly rich marine park, but it is also habitat to a number of bird species from land birds to coastal and seabirds that frolic on the many sand dunes.

Here you can enjoy snorkelling, scuba diving, take a leisurely walk on the white sand beach, canoe, go fishing, or just watch in awe the sunrise in the morning, or in the evening set slowly behind the horizon in fantastic hues of orange and purple.


Selayar Island

Selayar Island is the main island of the Selayar Islands. It lies off the coast of Cape Bira of South Sulawesi Province. The Selayar Straits separate it from the mainland of Sulawesi.

Tinabo Island

Uniquely, to the Torajans, death has always been a central theme, where in addition to the well-known elaborate funeral ceremonies, Torajans also honor the deceased by carving out the likeness of the dead, known as Tau-tau.


Makassar, also known as Ujung Padang, is a port city on eastern Indonesia’s Sulawesi island. Inside its 17th-century Dutch colonial Fort Rotterdam is the Museum Negeri La Galigo, housing local exhibits. A promenade along Losari Beach is known for its seafood restaurants. Traditional pinisi sailing ships pack the harbor of Pelabuhan Paotere. Offshore, snorkeling is possible on the coral reefs of Samalona Island.

Tana Beru

Tana Beru is famous as a place for shipbuilding or traditional boat making. You will feel amazed at the expertise of the community that makes a traditional boat with traditional wood construction and traditional equipment. They were able to make the boat very sturdy and stately just based on the experience and knowledge that acquired from their ancestors, without using images or written literature.

Tanjung Bira

Tanjung Bira or Bira Cape is the one of tourist attraction in Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi. Main tourist attraction of Tanjung Bira is diving, swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling.

Bissappu Waterfall

Bissappu waterfall is an 85 m high waterfall located in Bonotsalluang village, Bissapu. It is about 5 km from Bantaeng city.


DAY 1:  Makassar – Selayar – Tinabo (Takabonerate) (B, L, D)

Reach Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in the early morning, then we will take another domestic flight to Selayar (excluded). Reach Selayar island, we will go to Kota Benteng for lunch before heading to Pattumbukan Harbour (about 2 hours) for another ferry ride to reach Tinabo Island where we will spend the next two nights at (5 hours). Dinner and rest.

DAY 2: Full Day Snorkeling (B,L,D)

Hunting sunrise in the morning (optional) before breakfast, meet with the baby shark and snorkelling around the jetty of Tinabo (Acropora/Corina). After lunch, we will continue snorkelling at Tinabo Kecil island for the soft corals and then to Bunging Tinabo. Back to Tinabo island in the late afternoon for sunset. Dinner and rest.

DAY 3: Tinabo – Selayar (B, L,D)

Today we will head on to another snorkelling spot at Tarupa Kecil Island. Explore Tarupa Island and back to Tinabo for lunch. After lunch, we will go to Latondu Kecil Island for snorkelling. After snorkelling, we will continue our journey back to Selayar Island. Reach Pattumbukang Selayar Harbour, go to Kota Benteng for lunch and then check in. Dinner and rest.

DAY 4: Selayar – Bira – Tana Beru – Waterfall – Makassar  (B, L)

After breakfast, get ready to check out as we will be going back to the main island. Reach Tanjung Bira around 9 am and then we will stop by at Tanah Beru to see the making process of Phinisi sailing boat that is famous nationwide. Lunch will be served along the way. If time permits, we will stop by at the Bissapu Waterfall. Reach Makassar, dinner and check-in hotel Makassar.

DAY 5: Hotel – Airport (B)

After breakfast, get ready to check out. Before heading back to the airport, if time permits, we will visit Rammang-Rammang.
